Earth hour 2016
The Administration Department calls upon all ICST staffs to respond Earth Hour campaign.

with the following actions:
(1) Only switch on air conditioner in the office after 9:00am and switch it off 30 minutes before leaving;
(2) Turn off lights and electrical appliances which are not in use over 30 minutes.

With the theme 'Small action, big meaning', the campaign Earth Hour 2016 will be carried out all over Vietnam on 19 March, 2016. The highlight of this campaign is a symbolic act of switching off lights and unnecessary electrical appliances from 20:30 to 21:30 (1 hour).

It is the 8th year that our country responses to the Earth Hour campaign, with the technical support of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the Danish Embassy in Vietnam, together with Vietnam Electricity (EVN).

According to the organizing committee, 520,000 kWh of electricity was saved within 1 hour lights-off during last year event. This energy was equivalent to an amount of 850 million VND (or 38,110 USD).
