Students\' research help to identify chemicals in food

In 2015, the research topic "the magic paper" of Toan P. Bui and Thien-Phuc V. Lam won the second prize in the provincial competition in science and technology organized by Tra Vinh Education and Training Department for high school students. Then the research continued to win the national second prize in the field of chemistry and the national third prize in the whole contest which was held by the Ministry of Education and Training. At the competition, the group was also awarded with the special prize by Can Tho University. In addition, the group received 200 USD from Yale University (France).
The topic "the magic wand" of Phuc M. Doan and Nhu H. Tran, students of 11A4 class, Nguyen Thien Thanh High School for Gifted Students, helps consumers identify chicken's skin stained with chemicals that are often hard to recognize through normal eyes. It won the provincial second prize in the contest in scientific and technical held by Tra Vinh Education and Training Department for high school students of 2015-2016. This topic is also being sent to the next competition in science and technology. The contest will be held by the Ministry of Education and Training in Dong Nai in the future.
